Our story

We embarked on our first cycling holiday to France in 2013 with the goal of watching some stages of the Tour de France and challenging ourselves to riding some of the iconic climbs we had watched on TV. We both instantly fell in love with what France had to offer from a cycling perspective and started planning our next trip on the plane home.

After numerous trips in the following years, we made the decision in 2018 to make a permanent move to France and set up a business to help others plan and undertake cycling holidays in France. This started with Seek Travel Ride, launched in 2020, which offered numerous articles about French cycling destinations, practical information and cycling routes. In late 2022, a bespoke travel advisory service was launched through Seek Travel Ride with the goal of offering a service to directly help clients plan their own trips to France, both to cycle and to watch stages of the Tour de France.

In early 2023 the Seek Travel Ride podcast was launched by Bella. It provides a weekly episode that showcases awesome stories of adventures undertaken by people on bicycles all over the world. The show now boasts over 60 episodes and a growing community of like-minded people. With the continued success of the podcast the decision was made in late 2023 to move Seek Travel Ride as a site supporting the podcast and focusing on bicycle touring, bikepacking and exporing destinations all around the world by bicycle. Veloscapes Travel was launched in early 2024 to focus on France and the travel advisory service.
